Payment Methods

At United States Service Dogs, we aim to make checkout simple and secure. This page explains the payment options we accept and how payments are handled.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following at checkout:

  • Mastercard (credit and debit)
  • Maestro
  • Visa (including Visa Electron)
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • PayPal

2. Currency

All prices are displayed in [USD]. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate. We don’t control these charges.

3. Secure Checkout

Payments are processed by payment processor names, e.g. PayPal and your card gateway. Your payment details are entered on the secure payment page, and we do not store your full card number on our servers. For more on how we handle your information, please see our Privacy Policy.

4. When You Are Charged

  • Your payment method is charged when you place your order.
  • You will receive an email confirmation after your payment is successful.
  • Some banks place a temporary authorization hold, which usually clears within a few business days.

5. Payment Declined or Failed

Payments may be declined for reasons such as insufficient funds, incorrect card details, address mismatch, or bank security checks. If this happens:

  • Check your card number, expiry date, CVV, and billing address.
  • Try another payment method or contact your bank.
  • Contact our support team if the problem continues.

6. Fraud Prevention

To protect customers, we may review or cancel orders that appear suspicious or fraudulent, and may ask for additional verification. If an order is canceled, any payment taken will be refunded.

7. Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing time depends on your bank or PayPal and may take 60 days after we approve the refund. See our Refunds & Returns Policy for details.

8. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you notice an issue with a charge, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly.
